What is LiveVods?
LiveVODS is an automated live stream recorder and VOD archive. Add a supported creator and LiveVODS monitors future live sessions so finished streams can be replayed, clipped, and downloaded from your library.
Is LiveVods free to use?
Yes. The free plan lets you follow a small number of creators, watch plan-allowed qualities, and keep recordings during the free retention window. Paid plans increase creator limits, retention, clip allowance, and quality access.
Which platforms do you support?
We currently support Twitch, Kick, YouTube Live, TikTok LIVE, Mixch, CHZZK, TwitCasting, Huya, and Bilibili for the core recording workflow.
Do I need to install any software?
No. LiveVODS is browser-based. Recording and asset processing run in the cloud, so you do not need to leave a desktop screen recorder running.
What happens if a streamer changes their username?
Our system tracks streamers by their platform ID where possible, but on some platforms (like TikTok) a username change requires you to manually re-add the streamer. We'll notify you if recording stops unexpectedly.
How long are recordings stored?
Free plan recordings are kept for 4 days. Pro keeps recordings for 30 days, and Max keeps them for 90 days. Paid plans also add more clip capacity and protected recording controls.
Can I watch a stream while it's still live?
Recordings become watchable after the livestream ends and processing finishes. This keeps LiveVODS focused on clean archives, clips, and replay.
Can I download recordings?
Yes. LiveVODS generates MP4 downloads after processing. Downloads are shown only when the file exists and your plan allows that quality.
What recording quality do you capture?
LiveVODS records the best available source stream once, then generates lower playback and download variants when technically possible. Plan access is enforced when users watch or download.
Are recordings public?
No. LiveVODS libraries are private by default. Recordings are associated with users who follow a creator and are governed by account access and retention controls.
What happens when my Premium subscription expires?
Your followed streamers stay saved. You'll be limited to 3 of them on the free plan at 720p quality. Everything comes back instantly when you reactivate Premium.
